Carlos you are an incredible entrepreneur! Why don’t you give us some details about you and introduce us to your story. How did you get to where you are today?
My name is Carlos Salazar. I’m a 23 year old entrepreneur from California. I reside in Texas. I am quite successful in real estate field and I own my own social media marketing agency. I started my own marketing agency back in 2015. I worked hard; nonstop actually, 18 hours a day to get to where I am today.
I handle marketing for businesses such as Planet Fitness, some famous restaurants, as well as many artists and rappers. I am thrilled to say that I am actually starting to get recognition from celebrities and other famous artists. This recognition from other celebs is what got me to where I am with my agency today.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
The challenges I have come across along the way were defeating self-doubt and also keeping myself focused on my goals and business when friends and family doubted me. Most told me to stop or quit and get a “real job”. That kind of negativity could push most budding entrepreneurs to stop working their business, and get a typical 9-5 job, however, I had to cut some people out my life to make my dreams of owning a successful marketing agency a reality.
Let’s talk about the work you do. What makes you good at what you do?
I am good at what I do because I work with my clients on a 1-on-1 basis; keeping them up to date on every little thing that’s going on with their marketing. I work quick and I work towards goals that’ll bring long term success for my clients. Most of the artists I work with end up getting some sort of recognition from celebrities or bigger, better known artists. I even have had an (artist) client of mine get signed by a record label.
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
Never Stop Working! While your goal is to be successful, you shouldn’t forget about the importance of hard work even when you reach your goals. I want the game. The game is my life. This is what I always say. There will never be a moment that you should quit, as I never did or would. There’s no dollar amount that I would take, and nothing anyone could do to make me stop doing what I love, working on business endeavors. You should always be looking for ways to improve yourself and your business, no matter how successful you get.
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
Success to me means happiness. To be happy in life and with yourself in what your doing.
What’s next for you?
I plan to continue growing my marketing agency and help as many artists as I can reach their goals, and get them noticed by labels and top billboard artists. This is only the beginning for me and my marketing agency!
