Stellar Image Media is honored to introduce you to the impressive artist Trey Shyn:

It’s such a pleasure to connect with you, Trey! You have a powerful story. Why don’t you give us some details about you and introduce us to your story. How did you get to where you are today?

My name is Travis Shyn (AKA Trey Shyn) and I am an artist based out of DC. I was born on the streets of South Korea. With a lot of luck and hard work, I am now an IT Architect and SME for Fortune 500 Companies. I’ve worked for Microsoft as a Premier Field Engineer, JPMC, NOA and many other organizations.

I have 6 adopted kids now with my wife; and we are now preparing to take in another brother of one of our kid’s. I do all of this with the hope that the kids I have helped raise, will go out into the world as stewards of the beauty and power of love. I am also an artist. I have been working on music on the side for 3 years. I am the first Korean to received a Digital Radio Tracker award for Top 5 (My song Quicksilver). I’ve already sold some songs. What I hope to accomplish with these news releases, is to reach other good people, trying to do good things, and to also build my company and platform so I can set an example for others. I want to touch other peoples lives with music and good will.

That’s amazing. I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

Growing up with Asian hate was a real challenge. Also, not fitting in with Koreans in the USA because I’m often considered ‘not Korean enough’. Also, I am not accepted by other minorities because I’m considered by them to be ‘too white’.  While I was moving up the ladder in corporate America I felt I was always good enough to be an expert, but never good enough to be the manager.

Let’s talk about the work you do Trey. What makes you good at what you do?

I’m a SME in EndPoint Management, End User Services, Cyber Security and Virtualization. There are many technical experts. What sets me apart is my ability to build relationships in the most challenging of environments. What makes me special, is that I actually care about who I work for and with. I know that we all rely on each other so that our kids can eat. People often forget that. We are a BIG Village.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life Trey?

Bet on yourself. The more people talk trash, the closer you are getting.

Trey, speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Success is the mark that I leave for my children and community. When I was young, I often dreamed of riches, amazing food and enjoying my success in life. But real success, I find now, is utilizing your abilities in the most positive ways. One can be the most talented person and still have nothing to offer if only concerned about oneself.

What’s next for you Trey?

I will be releasing my Holiday song, “Hot Chocolate Melodies” on Thanksgiving and my Uli Dongne “My Neighborhood” Remix this Summer.
