In recent times, power plants are rapidly facing the challenge of meeting the ever-increasing demand for energy consumption in the world. These plants have complex systems that are characterized by reliability and maintenance policies. The most prevalent problems associated with the plants are increased costs of generating electricity and a rise in the environmental effects of the generation. These issues have compelled most of the power plants to focus on the continuous development of a solution to improve energy efficiency. There is a need to have a model that can help in the analysis of the electric generation in the power plants. This must derive from the data that is gathered on electricity.  

Enter expert in the field of data gathering in the energy field Dr. Igal Kushnir. Dr. Igal is a recent graduate of Selinus University.  Dr. Kushnir it’s such an honor interviewing you today.

Why don’t you give us some details about yourself. How did you get to where you are today?

I recently finished my PhD studies, I specialize in Data Gathering in the energy field. I work in a challenging environment at the Israeli electric company.

Dr. Igal, I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

Mainly functioning as an ‘electrical island’ we do not have the ability to depend on the surrounding countries. We have to come up with ideas on how to make our electric stations more efficient. I have to contribute as an expert in the data gathering field to improve this situation.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What makes you good at what you do?

My education, my innovation and my openness to new technologies and ideas makes me an asset to the team that is trying to improve on energy efficiency at the power plant level.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

My best advice is to always pursue your goals regardless of how challenging they appear to be.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

While others measure success, I tend to see it as a way of creativity.

What is next for your Dr. Igal?

The crypto field is exciting to me as far as data gathering is concerned- this seems like a good, logical next step for me.
