Leticia, you have a powerful story. Why don’t you give us some details about yourself, and Purelistic Health. How did you get to where you are today?
I have been in the beauty and health industry for over 25 years. I can honestly say over the course of that time I have met with hundreds of clients and have given hundreds of consultations. Two main problems that women have are growing their hair and clearing their skin up. I finally came up with an solution to these problems. I started Purelistic Health. I have several amazing products on my line that boost the entire immune system, clear the skin, and grow hair.
Leticia, I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
Due to the pandemic, I had to close my physical salon business. This is the main reason I went online and created a store where I can help women who are afraid to go into salons, or who do not have the time, energy or desire to visit salons. Some of the obstacles that I face is being a minority and an African-American woman in business, are that people are not used to seeing African American women selling supplements. Trying to change that stereotype has been one of my greatest challenges.
Let’s talk about the work you do, and your supplement line Purelistic Health; what makes you good at what you do?
There are several things that make me good at what I do. During the early 90s, right after high school, I worked as a make-up artist /skin care consultant for a Fortune 500 company. I continued on that road for a decade before I decided to go to school to become a licensed Cosmetologist, Aesthetician, and Nail Technician. I opened my own salon in 2000 and started working one on one with women of all races, hair textures and different skin types. My primary focus, however, was hair extensions and hair restoration. I also had a cosmetic line where I sold skincare products and supplements.
In regards to my supplements I have several custom formulations, I work with a team of chemists and scientists. My products are sourced and manufactured in the USA.
Leticia, What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
Let your food be your medicine and your medicine be your food. Always incorporate dietary supplements so you can get the maximum benefit out of what you’re eating, so that your body can reach its maximum potential.
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
Success means to have a PURPOSE! My purpose is to encourage people and let them know that they can do many things to change many lives if they live by example. I live my life as an example, especially when it comes to my children.
Leticia, what’s next for you and Purelistic Health?
What is next for me is to continue down this journey with my company Purelistic Health. I want to continue changing lives by providing healthier and superior supplements that boost the whole body immune system and self esteem.
