You have a powerful story Selina. Why don’t you give us some details about you and introduce us to your company S-Secrets LLC. How did you get to where you are today?

My name is Selina Zinchuk. I am the founder and CEO of S-Secrets LLC. In 2016, I was diagnosed with traction Alopecia and Alopecia Arenta. After a consultation with a Trichology expert, I was told my hair would never grow back unless I had surgery or expensive injections. I decided that these options were painful, costly, and worse yet, not guaranteed options. I rejected these alternatives, and decided to take matters into my own hands. Immediately I started to lose all of my relaxed hair. I had no option but to go natural. I prayed consistently for help with my hair, there is power in prayers. One night I had a dream and I saw myself with long healthy hair, that is when I knew God had answered my prayers. I put in my last relaxer May 7th 2016 and had the big chop October 9th 2016. I started my healthy hair journey along with my daughter. I spent countless hours researching and whipping up my DIY products right in my kitchen to grow back healthy hair. I created my first hair growth oil; which is now my s-secrets growth oil. With many years of trial and error and balancing the ingredients, I finally came out with a one of a kind hair growth oil. During the time of researching each and every ingredient, and how it can help my hair, my daughter who was eight years old at that time, convinced me to start a YouTube channel. I adapted quickly to YouTube to share our healthy hair journey with our subscribers.  As my subscribers watched and saw progress in our hair health and length, my following quickly grew. My subscribers recommended that I make my products available for purchase. That was when S-Secrets was born in 2018. I now have thousands of happy customers worldwide.

I’m sure your success has not come easily Selina. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way to creating your company S-Secrets LLC?

It hasn’t been easy. I was born in Liberia and grew up in Ghana. In 2016 I relocated to the USA and immediately my hair struggles started. I lost my self esteem; I felt ugly with no hair and bald patches. Just imagine being in a new country and immediately your whole life starts to crumble. My losing my hair was the biggest struggle; but I had no idea that my future struggle would be my new business that would change my life, and the lives of millions of others through my videos and my natural and organic hair products.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What makes you good at what you do, and S-Secrets so special?

I am very good at what I do because it is my passion and my calling in life. I can go for countless hours working without noticing it because of how much love and dedication I have for my products and my hair. I receive messages and emails from people telling me how I restored their confidence and physical appearance. That is priceless. I make sure that research is done on each and every ingredient that I use on my hair in my videos so that I know exactly the benefits each ingredient will provide to my hair and scalp.

Selina, What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life? 

My best piece of advice would be to never give up during hard times. Always remember that hard times are temporary, you can learn from your hard times and try to make something positive out of them. Use your passion to the best of your ability. If you love what you are doing, once you succeed you will never get bored of it.

Accomplishing your purpose for whatever you aim for in life.

What’s next for you Selina?

My next move is creating and manufacturing my whole clean, natural, and organic hair care line. It will be available in many countries around the world. This will include every product in my hair routine including a detangler, shampoo, deep conditioner, leave-in treatment, styling cream, and gel.
